BRUSSELS -- The International Trade Commission has launched an an investigation on behalf of Nanya to determine whether imports of certain DRAM devices are infringing patents.

In the complaint, Nanya accuses Kingston Technology and Elpida of patent infringement, and seeks an ITC order directing US Customs to prohibit entry of the infringing products into the US. The order would also apply to products containing any electronics components found to be in violation.

Nanya also seeks a cease-and-desist order that would require the alleged violators to cease selling infringing imported articles out of US inventory.
