WASHINGTON -- The International Trade Commission has amended an ongoing patent infringement investigation of certain wireless devices capabilities to include LG Electronics and its subsidiaries.

The original complaint claims Huawei Technologies, FutureWei Technologies, (Huawei's US subsidiary), Nokia and ZTE of infringing certain US patents held by Interdigital, and of importing products containing the infringed products in violation of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.

The US patents in question are 7,349,540; 7,502,406; 7,536,013; 7,616,970; 7,706,332; 7,706,830; and 7,970,127, all of which are assigned to Interdigital.

The newest amendment adds the recently issued US Patent No. 8,009,636 to the list, and adds LG as an alleged violator.

In a Dec. 21 ruling, the ALJ found that, pursuant to Commission Rule 210.14(b) (19 CFR 210.14(b)), good cause exists to amend the complaint and notice of investigation.

The investigation number is 337-TA-800.
