SAN JOSE -- Cisco is seeking a buyer for the former Scientific-Atlanta set-top box business, according to a published report.

Cisco is not commenting on a report in the New York Post yesterday that declining margins have Cisco rethinking its role in that business.

Cisco bought Scientific-Atlanta in 2006 for almost $7 billion.

Cisco sold its Juarez, Mexico, set-top box manufacturing facilities to Foxconn last December.
