PALO ALTO, CA -- HP will trim its notebook PC purchases from Foxconn in 2013 for unstated reasons, according to published reports.
HP, which is said to be in the quoting process for ODM orders to be shipped in 2013, will rely primarily on Quanta Computer, DigiTimes said today, citing unnamed supply-chain sources.
Quanta will receive 40% of the orders, with Foxconn next at 23%, followed by Inventec (16%) and Wistron (15%), the sources told DigiTimes. None of the companies is commenting on the report.
