TAIPEI -- Foxconn will boost its investment in Henan province as it establishes the Central China province as its manufacturing hub.

According to China Daily, Foxconn has a list of some 19 new projects in Henan slated for investment. Among them are factories for building camera lenses and LED lighting rigs, plus branches of Foxconn's retail chain Cybermart. Foxconn did not disclose the amount of funding it plans to invest.

"We are going to fully expand our investment in Henan, using Zhengzhou (the provincial capital) as the base," Terry Guo said in public comments.

Foxconn is the largest EMS/ODM company in the world, according to the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
