COLLEGE PARK, MD – A presentation on understanding and modeling tin whiskers is among several upcoming seminars at a CALCE event here next month.
The two-day event features four Ph.D. dissertation presentations, with topics including Risk Assessment and Mitigation of Telecommunication Equipment under Free Air Cooling Conditions; Prognostics of Ball Bearings based on Vibration and Acoustic Emission Analysis; Evaluation and Modeling of Electrochemical Migration on Printed Circuit Boards, and Assessment of Electrical Shorting and Metal Vapor Arcing Potential of Tin Whiskers.
The mini-conference takes place Aug. 7 and 8 at the University of Maryland.
