SERANG, INDONESIA – Foxconn is opening a facility here, according to published reports.

The 5,000 m² plant is expected to produce 10 million electronic tools annually, including home appliances such as TVs.

A six-month construction process is expected to begin later this year, says the firm.

At the start of operations, the electronics manufacturer will produce three million mobile phones at the plant, which will be expanded 400 hectares in 2013.
