LOUISVILLE, KY – Electronics manufacturing service provider Ayrshire Electronics has tapped Bob Toler to run its newly formed product design group.

Ayrshire’s new Product Design Group has a reported 85 years of electronic product design experience, and provides complete product design and development services, including hardware (circuits, enclosures, cables and packaging), software/firmware and test (ICT and functional). AE Product Design specializes in cost reduction projects, such as PTH to SMT, and offers agency approvals, including CE, CSE, ETL, FCC, FDA and UL.

Toler, who has been named director of Product Design Services, is a former vice president of engineering at MCC Panasonic and also spent more than 15 years in engineering Motorola. He has a bachelor's in electrical engineering.

Ayeshire, which operates six EMS facilities in North America, also has an agreement with SIIX of Japan, one of the world's largest EMS companies. Ayeshire's annual revenues are in the $225 million to $250 million range, according to CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY sources.
