MONROE, OR -- The USNC/IECQ announced the formation of a Distributors Advisory Group to protect the US Department of Defense and general public by regulating policies and procedures necessary for counterfeit avoidance, detection, mitigation, and disposition, and assuring appropriate regulatory bodies implement them.
The USNC/IECQ Distributors Advisory Group (DAG) was formed to enable a single body that will develop and implement a set of industry based Distributor certification requirements for counterfeit avoidance, detection, mitigation and disposition.
DAG was spurred by President Obama's signing of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which included an amendment by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI) and John McCain (R-AZ) that launched an initiative to define recommendations and solutions. For its part, DAG is working on a national and international ratification and implementation plan.
