TAIPEI -- Hon Hai Precision Industry, the parent company of Foxconn Electronics, said unconsolidated October sales fell 6.7% year-over-year.

The company, the world's largest contract electronics assembler, did not specify reasons for the year-over-year decline.

Revenue for the month T$275.7 billion ($9.47 billion) was up sequentially 14.6%, aided by deliveries of the Apple iPhone 5, which Foxconn manufactures.
