NEENAH, WI -- Plexus's Charitable Foundation has committed $35,000 to local schools to invest in a new course on computer integrated manufacturing.

The grant will permit the Neenah Joint School District to acquire robotic and milling equipment. The new course will be available to students beginning in the 2013-2014 school year.

Oliver Mihm, vice president of Global Engineering Solutions and member of the foundation said, "With our global headquarters located in Neenah and our significant engineering and manufacturing presence in the greater Fox Cities area, The Plexus Corp. Charitable Foundation is pleased to support the development of this program. Plexus' investment in local education and technology brings to life the engineering and manufacturing disciplines for area youth.  Our support for the Academy, as well as other local programs such as FIRST Robotics and the Science, Technology, Education and Math curriculum at James Madison Middle School in Appleton, enhances the experience of educators and students, creating passion for future career paths."
