TAIPEI -- Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn) reported fourth-quarter net profits of T$37 billion ($1.24 billion), up 5.6% from 2011.

For the period ended Dec. 31, the world's largest EMS/ODM had gross margins of 9.6%, up from 8.9% a year ago.

Foxconn makes printed circuit boards, assemblies, connectors, motherboards and a variety of other products.
