HONG KONG -- Wong's Kong King's EMS sales rose 15.5% for the year ended Dec. 31 to HK$3,519 million, a new company record.

Operating profits were up 15.9% to HK$60,268, aided by a more diverse customer base.

Sales for the second half were up 26% sequentially.

In US currency, WKK turned in EMS sales of $453 million and operating profits of $7.8 million for the year.

WKK said that given the group’s diversified customer base and based on orders on hand, EMS revenues "will continue to grow" in the coming year. "The group will continue to enhance factory automation to alleviate the impact of continuing increases in labor costs in China," the company said.

WKK is ranked 36th on the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50 list, which will be published next week.
