SAN JOSE – Sanmina Corp. reported revenue of $1.43 billion for the second fiscal quarter ended Mar. 30, down 2.1% year-over-year, and down 4% sequentially.
GAAP net income was $21.2 million, compared to a GAAP net loss of $1.4 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2012. This included a one-time gain on the sale of real estate during the quarter.
GAAP operating income for the period was $45.8 million, or 3.2% of revenue, compared to $30.2 million, or 2.1% of revenue, for the same quarter last year.
Second-quarter results were in line with the firm’s expectations, said Jure Sola, chairman and CEO.
The EMS firm expects revenue between $1.45 billion and $1.50 billion for the third fiscal quarter ending June 29.
