HAWTHORNE, CA – OSI Systems reported revenues of $198 million, a decrease of 5% year-over-year for the fiscal third-quarter ended Mar. 31.

Net income was $13.5 million, up 7.1% compared to the same quarter in 2012.

For the nine months ended Mar. 31, the company reported revenues of $574 million, up 3% year-over-year. Net income was $32.3 million, up 9.1% compared to the year-ago period.

The Optoelectronics and Manufacturing Group, which includes the company's contract electronics assembly operations, posted fiscal third-quarter revenue of $54.8 million, up 9.6% year-over-year. Operating income was $3.3 million, down 8.1% year-over-year. Revenue for the nine-month period was $169.2 million, an increase of 9.6% compared to a year ago.
