LOS ANGELES -- A Los Angeles-based private equity firm has acquired Smart Electronics & Assembly for an undisclosed amount.
Anaheim, CA-based Smart Electronics is a contract electronics assembler for the the defense, commercial aerospace, industrial and homeland security markets. Smart Electronics will provide in-house manufacturing capability for Secure Communication Systems, a designer of rugged handheld computer systems and data encryption equipment.
While Smart Electronics will become a division of Secure Communication Systems, its daily operations will remain unchanged, says the acquiring firm, Vance Street Capital.
