WASHINGTON -- The US Department of Defense is proposing to amend its acquisition practices related to the detection and avoidance of counterfeit electronic parts.

The DoD is expected to publish tomorrow a proposed rule to be implemented as part of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Comments on the proposed rule should be submitted in writing within 60 days of the date of publication in the Federal Register.
