FORT WORTH, TX – After months of discussion, IPC and the Surface Mount Technology Association have agreed on a three-year deal to co-locate their respective fall US conferences, starting in October.

The agreement covers SMTA International and the IPC Fall Standards Development Committee Meetings. Co-location of the events begins this fall and runs through 2015.

SMTAI will be held Oct. 13–17, while the IPC committee meetings will be held Oct. 12–17. Both will be at the Fort Worth (TX) Convention Center.

Last October at SMTAI, the two trade groups agreed in principle to co-locate, but had since struggled to finalize the agreement.
