WEYMOUTH, ENGLAND -- DEK has presented 15 Tsinghua DEK SMT scholarships to students at Beijing-based Tsinghua University as part of their joint program to nurture young engineering talent.

Launched in 2011, the DEK scholarship program for aimed at university students in mainland China.

Each year, 15 students taking courses at the Tsinghua Flextronics SMT Laboratory are awarded scholarships and are given the opportunity to participate in career development workshops with DEK. A rigorous evaluation process that takes into account the academic performance of students, as well as an overall assessment of their personal attributes, is used by a judging panel comprised of professors from Tsinghua University, along with representatives from DEK and the SMT industry.
