ORADEA, ROMANIA -- Plexus has opened a $30 million, 290,000 sq. ft. electronics assembly facility here. The initial head count of 300 is expected to grow to 1,000 when the unit is fully operational, according to published reports.

The company announced the plant in April 2012. Plexus has operated in Oradea since 2009. The new site will replace an existing leased facility.

Plexus also just opened a plant in Bathgate, Scotland, and is expanding in Neenah, WI, as well.
