FREMONT, CA -- Printed circuit board contract assembler AlphaEMS recently completed an expansion of its facility here, nearly doubling the factory space.

AlphaEMS, which operates two plants in Fremont, expanded one to 46,000 sq. ft.

AlphaEMS was founded in 2003 by a group of former Solectron and A-Plus executives.

In a statement, AlphaEMS CEO Eric Chang said, “This move will allow AlphaEMS to expand our PCBA services, include system integration, and produce more solid state drives, network security, GPS, and similar products.”

AlphaEMS also recently completed equipment upgrades, having installed a Juki printer, BTU reflow oven, Speeline Aquastorm cleaner, and a Pillarhouse selective wave solder machine.
