SHENZHEN – EMS provider Ryder Industries says it is extending its Coastal I factory here by 10,000 m². Construction began last month.

The factory, operational since 1992, will be equipped with a new office building, R&D center, and a warehouse.

The expansion is focused on supporting high-mix products and is scheduled for completion in September 2014.

The firm says its coastal presence allows for a more convenient base for customers visiting from overseas.

Ryder also has established an inland factory in the Jiangxi province. 

No financial terms were disclosed.
