MALMO, SWEDEN – PartnerTech’s second-quarter sales were SEK 574 million, up 1.7% year-over-year. The EMS firm reported an after-tax loss of SEK 4 million, down from flat earnings last year.
Operating profit for the quarter was SEK 3 million, down 75% year-over-year. In the quarter, volumes declined through lower demand from existing customers, but were compensated by strong sales to new customers, the firm says.
Revenues were up 2.5% when adjusted for currency fluctuations, the contract assembler said.
In the first half of 2013, the company had net sales of SEK 1.13 billion, down 3.9% year-over-year. The post-tax was SEK 2 million, compared to a profit of SEK 13 million in the first half of 2012. Operating profit for the period was SEK 11 million, a decline of 67% year-over-year.
