NEENAH, WI -- Plexus today reported fiscal third-quarter net income fell 1.3% to $23.2 million on a 6.1% drop in revenue.

Sales during the period fell to $571.9 million, as higher demand for healthcare products such as x-ray imaging gear was offset by lower networking sales.

Juniper, Plexus' largest customer in fiscal 2012, has severed its longstanding ties with the contract electronics assembler. Production for the company has ended and the final shipments will be made during the current quarter, Plexus said.

The EMS company guided for fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $545 million to $575 million.
