PATHUMTANI, THAILAND -- SVI Public Co. reported consolidated net income of $6.3 million in its second quarter, up $1.17 million from a year ago. Net sales for the period rose 17% sequentially to $63 million but were down $4 million from 2012.

The EMS company saw demand for IP video, professional audio and medical products during the quarter.

The contract assembler is one of the largest in Thailand, after Cal-Comp, Hana Microelectronics and Benchmark Electronics.
