WOOD DALE, IL -- Alpha Electronics has closed and is being sold auction. The contract electronics manufacturer operated in a 15,000 sq. ft. plant here in the Chicago suburbs.

The plant featured two SMT lines and a through-hole line. Alpha was founded in 2002.

More than 15 EMS plants have closed thus far in 2013.
