BEDFORD, UK -- OSI Electronics has acquired Briton EMS, a privately held electronics manufacturing services company located here, for an undisclosed amount.

OSI, which is among the 60 largest EMS companies in the world, also has manufacturing plants in California, Indonesia and Malaysia.

In a press release, Briton EMS commercial director Tony Abri said, "In merging our strengths with those of OSI Electronics, there are immediate customer benefits including access to higher volume manufacturing at lower cost. We remain a producer of high mix / low volume products, working with our customers from the idea and design stage, through prototyping and into production.
