YANTAI, CHINA -- Foxconn today acknowledged nearly a dozen people were injured in a fight last week at one of its China sites. The melee involved two groups and injured 11 people, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Chinese social media have been showing images a dozens of shirtless men armed with pipes and sticks arguing while police try to control the crowd.

Alcohol may have fueled the incident at the Yantai campus, the reports implied.

Foxconn called the fight "personal" in nature. Some reports suggested it pitted workers from different provinces who had migrated to Yantai for employment.
