ALTOONA, PA – Alpha’s electronic solder recycling site here has received certification as a conflict-free minerals smelter by the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative Conflict-Free Smelter Audit Review Committee.

The certification was confirmed by a third-party compliance audit on Nov. 11. Alpha documented and implemented a Conflict Minerals Policy based on the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development Framework for Due Diligence.

Alpha is an early adopter of the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative.
