SHENZHEN -- JOT Automation has established a design and manufacturing facility here to broaden its geographic market presence and overall customer diversity. The facility will be located in the Bao An district, and will "significantly increase" the test and production equipment OEM's production capacity, JOT said.

"With an automation boom due to the increase in more complex products, growing production volumes, higher wages and price erosion in automation technologies, the move to expand in Asia was an obvious one," JOT said in a press release.

JOT Automation Beijing general manager Matti Leirimaa said, “The increase in the sale of smart devices, and an expanded product range has seen the expansion into South China. The move will allow us to efficiently cater to the growing demand for automated manufacturing solutions.”
