SAN JOSE – North America-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted $1.28 billion in orders worldwide in March, up 16.1% year-over-year, and down 1.2% sequentially, says SEMI. The figures are based on a three-month average basis.

The book-to-bill ratio was 1.06. A book-to-bill of 1.06 means $106 worth of orders was received for every $100 of product billed for the month.

The three-month average of worldwide billings in March was $1.21 billion, up 22.3% year-over-year, and down 5.9% sequentially.
