ROSEMONT, IL –  Move over, Internet of Things. SMTA International keynoter

Jeff Gallinat says the next big thing is the “Internet of Everything."

Gallinat, Cisco's vice president of supply chain operations, will focus on the importance of an Internet of Everything approach that delivers more value to companies than just the Internet of Things.

His talk takes place Sept. 30 during the annual SMTA International conference, outside Chicago.

The number of connected devices, sensors, objects and other "things" are expected to grow to more than 50 billion by 2020, SMTA says. The Internet of Everything, including people, process, data and things, brings new opportunities and value in the manufacturing industry through automation, sensors, and data, to name a few.
