TORONTO – SMTC reported second-quarter revenue of $58 million, down 10.7% year-over-year.

Net earnings were $33 million, compared to a loss of $6 million in the prior year period.

For the six-month period ended June 29, revenue was $116 million, down 11% year-over-year.

The electronics manufacturer posted a net loss for the first six months of the year of $1.07 million, compared to a loss last year in the same period of $4.8 million.
