SAN JOSE -- Jabil Circuit has leased a 100,000 sq. ft. building here, which the EMS company will use as an R&D center. 

The plant, at 6375 San Ignacio Ave., is located near an existing 180,000 sq. ft. Jabil factory. Jabil will keep both facilities, a company spokeswoman said.

Jabil currently employs about 800 people in San Jose.
