COHOES, NY – Precision Valve & Automation has made several upgrades to its headquarters here to improve the process of manufacturing its dispensing systems. The OEM has upgraded its equipment used to manufacture work cells. Parts ranging from small brackets to system side panels are produced and quality checked in-house.

Powder coating capabilities have also been added, decreasing turnaround time by four days, the firm says. Bringing powder coating in-house has given PVA the flexibility to work with customers on custom requests.

PVA also relocated departments to streamline manufacturing flow. Manufacturing activity now logically moves from one functional area to the next, increasing communication between groups, improving process throughput and reducing logistics management.
