NELSON, BC -- Pacific Insight Electronics reported fiscal second-quarter revenue rose 4% year-over-year to $16.3 million.
The higher sales were driven by new LED lighting products and systems launched to various customers as well as a positive impact from currency exchange.
The net loss for the period ended Dec. 31 was $300,000, down from net income of $600,000 a year ago. The reduction in net income was the result of significant automotive program launch-related costs and additional investments in human capital to support anticipated revenue growth and new opportunities within the transportation industry.
