DALLAS, TX – A Foxconn subsidiary reportedly denied employment to two hearing-impaired applicants as a result of their disability.

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against S&B Industry, a cellphone repair firm.

The EEOC’s suit alleges S&B Industry denied the applicants a reasonable accommodation during the application process.

The EEOC sued after attempting to reach a settlement, according to reports, and is asking for the creation of policies to prevent discrimination based on disabilities.

The suit also pursues lost wages and compensatory and punitive damages for both parties.
