DUBLIN – The global passive component market is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 3.61% from 2014 to 2019, says Research and Markets.  

The research firm said demand will rise for high temperature-withstanding capacitors in harsh environment applications such as automotive, aerospace (in particular jet engines) and down-hole drilling, where temperatures often approach or exceed 392°F. Vendors are developing durable capacitors that can withstand high temperatures for longer periods, the firm added.
