BILLERICA, MA -- MC Assembly has moved into a larger manufacturing facility in the Boston suburbs, nearly doubling the footprint of its existing factory.

The new plant is nearly 58,000 sq. ft., considerably larger than the previous site's 33,000 sq. ft.

“This capacity expansion will allow us to achieve our growth objectives with both our existing customer base as well as our targeted new clients,” said Jake Kulp, vice president of new business development, in a statement. “Coupled with the extensive capital equipment investments we continue to make in the Northeast, we believe we have a compelling manufacturing option for our clients.”

The company has been in New England since 2010, when it purchased the former Chase EMS plant in Winchester, MA. In December 2014 it announced the signing of the lease in North Billerica.

MC Assembly CEO and president George Moore reiterated the EMS company's "commitment" to New England, saying the addition offers "the best possible work environment and ... [the] world-class manufacturing solution suggests we will have a very long future in this area of the country.”

MC Assembly has annual revenue of about $200 million. Most of the company's sales are generated from its factories in Florida and Mexico.
