BANNOCKBURN, IL – The recent IPC Apex Expo trade show drew 4,048 attendees from 56 countries, show organizers said today.

Show attendance, excluding booth personnel, was up less than 1% from 4015 in 2016, based on previously provided show figures.

This year’s show took place in mid March in Las Vegas, following a one-year move to San Diego. Attendance topped the 3,801 visitors reported in March 2014, the last time Apex Expo was in Law Vegas.

In all, some 433 exhibitors took up 139,300 net square feet of show floor space over the three day event. The floor space was down about 3% from a year ago, as was the number of exhibitors.

Apex Expo attracted 8,772 total visitors including attendees and exhibitor personnel. That's down 2.82% from 2015, and up 8.7% from 2014.

The exhibitor to attendee ratio, a metric showing the number of booth personnel in relation to the number of buyers, was 1.17, down from 1.25 a year ago but up from 1.12 in 2014.

More than 90% of respondents said the show met or exceeded their top objectives, while nearly 70% have indicated that attending the show influences their buying decisions throughout the year.

Despite the gain in attendance, it will be the last time Apex Expo sees Las Vegas for awhile. The show returns to the San Diego Convention Center next February, the start of a six-run run there.
