SAN FRANCISCO -- The CFO and and executive vice president of Juniper Networks have resigned, the company said last night.

Juniper chief executive Scott Kriens said resignations were "not at all related to the financial model or the financial performance of the company." Juniper filed required financial statements for fiscal 2006 last Friday, following delays due to an internal probe into the network gear OEM's employee stock options disbursements.

The company also restated its results for fiscal 2002 through 2005.

According to Kriens, chief financial officer Robert Dykes and executive vice president Robert Sturgeon are going to "transition out of Juniper in the coming months."

Dykes was CFO at Flextronics for seven years before joining Juniper in 2004. He will become chief executive of an undiclosed "small, private company," according to Kriens.

Sturgeon has been with Juniper since 2001, and was general manager of the company's enterprise business team.
