FRANKLIN, MA – Speedline Technologies president Pierre de Villemejane will leave the equipment maker July 18. Joe Hahn, electronics group vice president for parent company ITW, was named interim executive while a permanent replacement is sought.
De Villemejane successfully engineered Speedline's turnaround from a money-losing operation within Cookson. He helped steer the 2003 buyout of Speedline from
Cookson Electronics for $10 million to private equity firm
KPS, and oversaw the rebuilding into a profitable and growing company.
ITW purchased the company in 2006 as part of its budding electronics portfolio.
De Villemejane told
Circuits Assembly ITW plans to build on its portfolio within the electronics supply market. The company, which acquired
Kester and Speedline last year, and also owns
Chemtronics and
Simco, plans to build the electronics group into a $1 billion subsidiary.
