PHOENIX -- Alpine 4 Technologies and its subsidiaries have entered into a joint project to build a contract electronics manufacturing facility in Fort Smith, AK.
Alpine 4 will utilize roughly 18,000 sq. ft. of an existing 68,000 sq. ft. facility that its subsidiary American Precision Fabricators operates in. The new space will initially be used for higher-volume cable assembly.
Alpine 4 expects the project will add $2.5 million in annualized sales between the two companies over the next 18 months.
Alpine 4 subsidiary Quality Circuit Assembly is also part of the venture.
"Fort Smith, with its skilled labor pool and lower entry wage base, provides an attractive opportunity for Alpine 4 and its subsidiaries to expand its US-based contract manufacturing services in a means that is more competitive with companies abroad," said Kent Wilson, CEO, Alpine 4 Technologies, in a press statement. "I also firmly believe that Alpine 4's strongest competitive advantage is in our highly diversified, yet synergistic business model of Drivers, Stabilizers, and Facilitators; and we believe that this project successfully exemplifies that model."
