ERIE, PA – After breaking ground here on a new site in January last year, Eriez recently completed a 38,000 sq. ft. expansion near its world headquarters, bringing total square footage to 148,000.

The expanded space will support the company’s growth initiatives for global research and development, aftermarket repair and testing, and recycling equipment technology.

The project is the largest investment Eriez has made to date at this facility.

The expansion includes another manufacturing bay added to the current plant. Initially, a Recycling Test Center will be established that provides large equipment demonstration testing capabilities.

Part of the new manufacturing bay is additional space for the Aftermarket Repair Center. The repair center has doubled in size. The third section of the manufacturing bay will be for R&D.

The expansion also includes an Electronics Lab, with a main product test area, an electrical hardware development lab, a magnetics testing and materials lab, and software and PCB development space.

“The expanded repair, testing, demonstration and R&D areas will allow us to complete even bigger projects and pilot tests, speed up and enhance product development activities, and offer additional aftermarket repair capabilities with faster turnaround times,” said Eriez-USA vice president and general manager Tim Gland.
