KONIGSWINTER, GERMANY – One-hundred-ninety-one separate legal entities of 151 different EMS companies in Europe had total revenues of €8.19 billion (US$9.92 billion) in 2020, a decline of 5.4%, according to in4ma's annual European EMS industry survey.

Some 43,193 employees were analyzed. The work was conducted by in4ma, an EMS market research firm.

Three more European associations asked their EMS company members to participate: Estonian Electronics Industries Association EEIA of Tallinn/Estonia; Federatie van Technologiebranches, FHI Leusden, the Netherlands; and IG Exact, Maennedorf, Switzerland.

IPC, Incap. and 43 other EMS companies from Europe financed the work.

Ed.: This story has been updated. The original version incorrectly identified IPC as the surveyor. In fact, IPC sponsored the work, which was performed by in4ma.
