TAIPEI – Foxconn is in talks to buy a stake in Dagang NeXchange’s chipmaking business, after losing a bid to DNeX for a semiconductor company, according to reports.

In February, DNeX outbid Foxconn for SilTerra, and its acquisition of a 60% stake in the chipmaker is pending.

Foxconn could take a minority stake in DNeX and expand the business of SilTerra, the reports said. Talks are ongoing, and no deal is promised, Bloomberg and other sources reported. Neither company is publicly confirming any potential agreements.
