TEMPE, AZ – Benchmark Electronics saw revenue increase 9% year-over-year to total $695 million for the first quarter.

Revenue in the company's Semi-Cap sector totaled $149 million, with the Industrials sector seeing $144 million in revenue. Medical followed with $137 million, with Advanced Computing ($96 million), Next Gen Communications ($90 million), and A&D ($79 million) rounding out the company's sectors. 

"Our first quarter results include double-digit year-over-year product shipment growth despite the pause in Semi-Cap spending, demonstrating the power of our sector diversification," said Jeff Benck, Benchmark president and CEO."While 2023 has already been a dynamic year, we are encouraged by the demand trends we are experiencing across the majority of our sectors. Coupled with our continued execution, we remain confident in our outlook for the current year as well as our ability to execute to our long-term targets."

For the second quarter, the company projects revenue between $670 million and $710 million.
