STOCKHOLM – Mycronic AB reported a strong third quarter with order intake reaching approximately $221 million, a 67% increase from the same period last year. Net sales declined 4% to roughly $156 million, while EBIT fell to about $23 million, reflecting a lower gross margin and a less favorable division mix.

For the January through September period, order intake totaled around $529 million, up 11%, and net sales rose 18% to about $538 million. EBIT reached approximately $145 million with a 27% margin. The company reaffirmed its net sales outlook of about $678 million.

Pattern Generators saw stable photomask demand for both displays and semiconductors and received orders for one Prexision 8 Evo, two Prexision Lite 8 Evos and two SLXs. The division also signed an agreement to acquire Cowin DST, pending regulatory approval in South Korea. PCB Assembly Solutions secured several large full-line orders across the United States, Europe and Asia and completed its production relocation to Kista.

Global Technologies experienced strong growth in PCB test systems driven by AI server demand and increased spending in aerospace and defense, while High Volume recorded softening demand in China but growth elsewhere in Asia.

President and CEO Lindqvist said the strong order intake and division-level EBIT improvements underscore underlying demand strength despite pressure on gross margins in Pattern Generators.
