MILPITAS, CA -- Solectron Corp., has acquired a U.K.-based broker of electronics components for an undisclosed amount.

Solectron will merge the firm, ServiceSource Europe Ltd., with its electronics after-market services. SSE also provides component repair and service.

Craig London, an executive vice president at Solectron, said. "SSE's knowledge, processes, and speed in materials planning, warranty support, and parts brokering complements our offerings and aligns extremely well with our strategy to be a global full-service provider of after-market solutions."

The transaction was not deemed to be material.
