DORNSTADT, GERMANY – The 8th ASYS Group Technology Days brought some 400 customers and partner companies together to observe a full working SMT line and listen to several live electronics assembly seminars.

Visitors were able to watch their individual printed circuit boards be printed, assembled, marked and labeled on a complete SMT production line. At the end, visitors received a functional PCB with integrated LED illumination, temperature and time display.

Guests could also test ASYS's HMI interface on the systems.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Dietmayer from the University of Ulm provided information on intelligent systems for autonomous driving of the future.

Other lectures covered 3D screen printing to new applications in laser technology, and Oliver Geisselhart presented tips and tricks to remember everyday names or number combinations.

Plus, “we presented a special mix of machines and technologies on an area of over 1,000 square meters,” said Werner Kreibl, managing director of ASYS Group.

“We presented Simplex for our laser marking systems and showed how easy it is to set labels and to switch between the individual operations," says Katinka Eberl, interaction designer at ASYS.
